This morning the children had a special visitor from ELM Wildlife Hedgehog Rescue and Rehabilitation. We have been studying autumn as part of our topic ‘Colours and Festivals’ and this week we have been focusing on the animals in the wild. We went on a welly walk down to the forest school area to see what we could find. When we got back to the classroom we drafted some questions to ask our visitor to find out more information about hedgehogs. This morning we enjoyed finding out how we can rescue and care for a hedgehogs. We enjoyed learning about what ‘nocturnal’ and ‘hibernation’ mean.
